Chocolate Stout Ice Cream Float
Ice cream + chocolate + beer? Yes, please! Be sure to use high-quality ice cream and chocolate. We made ours with ingredients from local SF makers; vanilla ice cream from Mr. and Mrs. Miscellanous and Nitro Stout from Harmonic Brewing. Feel free to use your favorite local ingredients!
Yields: About 2 serving Time: About .5hrs
Ingredients:
- 5.5 oz 70% dark chocolate (we used Valrhona's Guanaja 70%)
- 10 oz Recchiuti Burnt Caramel Sauce
- 2 oz heavy cream
- Your favorite stout
- Your favorite ice cream
Instructions:
-
Melt chocolate in the microwave until it's about 104 F and melted. If you don't have a thermometer, heat the chocolate in slow increments and stir until melted and smooth.
-
In a separate bowl, add the Burnt Caramel Sauce and heavy cream together and heat in the microwave to about 104 F. It will have a smooth and creamy texture.
-
Combine melted chocolate and caramel mixture and blend with an immersion blender. Add 2 oz of stout to the mixture and blend.
-
Scoop 2 or 3 scoops of ice cream into a tall glass and pour chocolate mixture over ice cream. Top your glass off with more stout and enjoy!
