Blueberry, Morello Cherry, Passion Fruit and Pear Lime French-style fruit gelée. These traditional confections date back to 10th century France and the days before refrigeration. Fresh fruit was preserved with sugar and made into jelly, some firm enough to cut into shapes. These pâtes de fruits (PAT-de-FWEE) became a bite-sized way to enjoy fresh fruit year-round and today the tradition lives on at Recchiuti.

Love Pates de Fruites

I could eat the entire box at one sitting - but I savour them over a week. If I can hide them from my husband.
